Alabastro has 7 generations of pure dressage. During the stallion licensing and competitions, Alabastro made a huge impression on the public, as well as under saddle and by hand, he showed an exceptional balance, tact and swing. As a 3-4 year old he obtained in the German circuit scores from 80 – 88% and at the Bundes championship – qualification in Verden in 2004 he obtained as the only stallion the score of 9.0 for his outstanding trot. In Belgium, he continued his way up. He was convincing in sport even though he had to fulfill his duty as a sire and was trained in a quite amateur way. This season, he is at the stables of Nick Vanlaer where he will have a great season.
On his dam side we find the desirable bloodline of Brentano II (Sieger stallion in 1985 and stallion of the year 2003), the father of the Olympic horse and world up winner Brentina of Debbie McDonald and full brother of the grand prix horse Barclay of Sven Rothenberger. The mose expensive auction horse of all times, Poetin, and the full brothers Samba Hit I, II and III share the same Brentano II bloodline.
Alabastro's great grandfather Bolero belongs since years to the best dressage sires of the world and produced Brentano II and the Olympic dressage horse Beauvalais of the Spanish rider Beatgriz Ferrer-Salat.
The dam line of Alabastro is honorated with the world famous Weltmayer, top sire who produced more state premium daughters and licensed sons and grandsons than any other sire.
Alabastro became in 2003 premium stallion in Hanover and is licensed for SBS, Westphalia and Rheinland. He ended his stallion tests with more than 80%.
