Champion Stallion of the 2002 Holstein approval, best stallion at the 30 day test in Schlieckau 2003, taking the top position not only in dressage (8.88) but in jumping as well (9.34)! With such double talent it was no surprise that he qualified for the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf. Chico's Boy has meanwhile won several tests for young dressage horses and in 2006 he will be entering further tests for young jumpers. His first crop produced exceptional foals: his offspring brought the highest prices at all of the foal auctions in Germany and Switzerland, including the most expensive colt at the Spring Auction in Vechta as well as a foal at the 2004 Swiss Elite Foal Auction in Frauenfeld that sold for 22,000 CHF and the 40,000 € price record at Gestüt Sprehe's 2005 Elite Auction called
Champagner.
His sire, Carpaccio, won his performance test in Medingen in '94 and placed in the '96 Bundeschampionat finals for dressage horses in Warendorf, making him one of the best Holstein sires of younger generations. The dam's sire, Silbersee, was one of the most successful jumpers in the world for years with Dr. Michael Rüping and the sire of Silvester who sired the Olympic Game and World Championship dressage stallion, Silvano (Ellen Bontje/NL). The granddam is a three-quarter sister of Carneval, Cor de la Bryère's first Champion stallion (1976). Capitano and Contendro I and II also belong to this famous Holstein line 104 A. |
