· 16.2 1/2 hand 1998 Holsteiner
· Approved for:
Holstein, Oldenburg, Oldenburg International, Hanover, Westphalia, South German breeder's associations

In 2001, Chalan was the unequivocal winner of the 30 day test in Prussendorf, attaining the highest index score both in dressage and in jumping.

He became the Holstein state champion and the winner of the Federal Championship qualification, achieving the fourth place in the finals. In 2004, after two preluding wins (top score of 9.4) in the finals of the Federal Championship for 6-year-old showjumpers in Warendorf, he achieved high placements and was nominated for the WC Showjumping in Lanaken. He also won fault and style jumping tests in the medium class (8.7) under Janne Sosath.

Chalan was very convincing with his first foal crops, with conspicuously true to type, elegant foals with powerful motions and dark coats.

He is one of the first sons of the outstanding young sire Chambertin. Finals winner at the Federal Showjumper Championship, both as a 5- and 6-year old. Holstein state champion in Bad Segeberg in 1999. The dam Fucera had earlier produced the premium stallion Chateau with the Chambertin sire Cambridge.

Her sire Carolus I had international competition sports successes and is one of the leading Holstein performance transmitters nationwide today. A further Holstein foundation sire of type, Calypso I, in the next generation produced predominantly top quality horses for the dressage sport. The damline 4705 moreover produced the approval winners Rocadero and Laurenz, as well as the sires Levantos I and II (both approval champions), Orleandro, Racord (Schwaiganger state stallion), Ripley K (private stallion Bavaria), and Catoki, who is currently extremely successful.
