A
significant sire model whose first foals fulfilled the
highest
expectations .
Always
confident wherever he appears, his presence is exceedingly
attractive. His conformation is strikingly correct, his sequence of
movement in all three gaits is elastic and especially productive and
his jumping is simply awesome. Reserve
Champion of the 2004 NRW approval
and its hottest number afterward.
Champion stallion at
his 30-day test in Prussendorf
with top scores for his gaits and for
rideability (9.13) but just as convincing in jumping (8.25). After
winning several tests for young riding horses and a qualification
for the Bundeschampionat in 2006, he finished his 70-day test in
Schlieckau third place overall against very strong competitors with
an outstanding dressage index of 132.58 (rideability test 9.25!).
Fürst
Grandios is from the first crop of the whiz kid,
Fürst Heinrich,
World Champion of young dressage horses in Verden in 2003, who
tragically died much too early. This ideal combination with the
living legend,
Argentinus, who produces
international championship horses not only in jumping (e.g.
Anka/M. Ehning
or
Arko III/N. Skelton)
but in dressage as well (e.g. Albano/H. Kemmer). Of particular
significance in his pedigree is the Thoroughbred influence that
comes from his sport-oriented dam line through the Thoroughbred
dressage sire, Barsoi.
Two full brothers of the
granddam, Condor
Boccerini as well as the
private stallion,
Bajazzo, collect ribbons in
tests up to Grand Prix Special. The Grand Prix horse,
Millenium,
is a half-brother. SPS Griselda's full sister is the dam of two
first class S-level dressage horses called
Nussini 2
(Inter I) and Teutone.
Another of Fürst Grandios' younger full brothers was the Reserve
Champion stallion at the Oldenburg approval in 2005.
His first
foals surpassed our greatest expectations: Among others he presented
the champion foal at the broodmare show in Wadersloh (which later
sold for 28,000 Euro at the NRW Elite Foal Auction) as well as three
champion foals in Bavaria. The Westphalian breeding director, Dr.
Marahrens was full of praise for his modern and strongmoving first
crop.
