Rilke was bought at the Stallion Market in Verden in 1997. He finished his Stallion Performance Test as the second best in the dressage index with 113.25 points. He has continued training in dressage, and now the eleven year old has had competition success through Grand Prix Special.
From color and markings Rilke can not hide the fact that his father is Ritual, who has recently retired from his breeding career. Ritual is a son of the famous Ramiro, out of a daughter from the thoroughbred Der Lowe xx.
Rilke’s mother, Wonne, is a granddaughter of the thoroughbred Wiesenbaum xx. Many approved sons have been produced from these lines, including the formerly Warendorf-owned Gluckstag.
94 of Rilke’s offspring are registered with the FN as sport horses, and in all of the disciplines of the sport are equally successful.
