Burggraaf is a product of the successful Holsteiner formula Landgraf I x Cor de la Bryère. Top breeding stallion Landgraf I produced over 50 approved stallions and over 70 state premium mares just in Germany and heads the German yearbook with the total winnings of his progeny of over 6 million D-Marks. The dam’s sire is the famous sports horse producer Cor de la Bryère. He holds second place in the German yearbook with total winnings of around 2 million D-Marks. From ‘Corde’ descend also over 50 approved stallions and state premium mares.
To mention a few names of his famous offspring in international showjumping: Calando, Caletto, Chanel, Contrast and Corlandus. Burggraaf's dam Loanda is out of a unique Holsteiner breeding line (stamm: 7126) who produced Accord I, Accord II, Acobat I to IV, Arico, Fra Diavolo, Chicago, Freeman, Cordon Bleu and Burggraaf. Burggraaf was very successful in the heavier classes of the National Stallion Competition, of which he won the finals and six of the seven rounds. Later he was an international showjumper with Roelof Bril; they cleared the 2.10 m. during the puissance of Indoor Brabant in 1991 and in 1993 they were reserve champion of the 1.40 class for KWPN stallions. Approved Burggraaf sons are: Graaf Grande, Burgunder, Habsburg, Bachelor, Fellini, Kroongraaf, Lemmod, Manhattan, Mermus, Murano etc. International showjumpers by Burggraaf are: Burggravin, Procops Dumbo, Sublieft, Hevalietje, Jumper and Graaf. Burggraaf also produces offspring with a lot of movement. Examples are the Grand Prix dressage horses Florijn and Louisville. Also Burggraaf has a lot of offspring who are star and keur. Many mares by Burggraaf won national mareshows. Burggraaf has to his credit many (reserve) champions at national mare shows, VSN-finals, IANtrophy, world championships and stallion competitions.
